Why They Stand Out

Eco Tech Electrical has been designing and installing solar, battery and off grid systems across Darwin and the Northern Territory since 2018, and in that time they’ve taken on some genuinely serious projects, including a 950 kilowatt system for Wyuna Cold Stores and a 350 kilowatt installation at Darwin International Airport. That’s the kind of work that only gets handed to a business the industry actually trusts, so when they turn up to design a system for your home, you’re getting the same level of expertise, just scaled down to fit your roof.

Despite handling projects of that size, Eco Tech Electrical is still a locally operated business, run by directors Adam Bate and David Rojas, both licensed electricians who hold their own Solar Accreditation Australia accreditations rather than relying on subcontracted installers to carry the qualification. The team also includes an in house electrical engineer, Greg Hoff, who joined as a business partner and takes on the more involved system design work, giving them genuine engineering depth alongside the trade experience. Importantly, when you call for a residential quote, you’re dealing directly with the people responsible for the work, not passed along to a call centre or a rotating cast of tradespeople.

Their approach to residential jobs leans on the same care they’d bring to a commercial one. They offer free home inspections, put together customised packages based on your actual usage and budget, and help homeowners work through STC rebates and battery incentives rather than leaving you to figure it out alone. Installations are typically wrapped up within one to two days, which for Territory conditions is a genuinely tight turnaround.

On the product side, they now work predominantly with Jinko panels, paired with Sungrow inverters and batteries, chosen for the ability to perform through Darwin’s heat and the wet season’s humidity.

Alongside residential and commercial solar and battery systems, they also handle general electrical work, EV charger installations, and off grid or standalone power systems.

If you’re in Darwin or elsewhere in the Territory and want an installer capable of handling serious, commercial scale work but who still treats a residential job with the same level of attention, backed by directors who hold their own accreditation rather than farming the work out, Eco Tech Electrical is worth reaching out to.

I highly recommend Eco Tech Electrical for solar panel and battery installation. Dave recommended the most suitable solar panel upgrade and battery installation in terms I could understand and was tailored tor our home and electrical usage. Jahla in the office was very helpful and polite answering my questions too. The installation teams for the solar, battery and inverter were extremely professional, efficient and very courteous. They obviously took pride in their work and made sure they left the work area clean. Dave was easy to contact and kept me updated throughout the installation. Thanks Dave, Jahla and installation team!!!
