NRG Solar

NRG Solar is an Adelaide-based solar installer built on a simple idea: do solar properly. Founded in 2014, the company originally focused on servicing and repairing systems left behind by installers who had disappeared, giving the team firsthand insight into just how many systems were poorly designed or installed.

That experience still shapes how NRG Solar operates today. Rather than taking a volume-driven, “average installer” approach, the team focuses on doing the job right from the start. Every system is designed and installed with long-term performance in mind, helping customers avoid the common issues that often lead to underperforming systems.

Led by co-founder Eddy May, NRG Solar works across both residential and commercial projects, delivering solar and battery solutions backed by strong technical knowledge and attention to detail. The company has built a reputation in Adelaide for quality workmanship and a no-compromise approach to installation.

NRG Solar also takes an active role in shaping the future of the industry. The team is involved in key renewable energy organisations and reference groups, including the Smart Energy Council, with leadership contributing to industry standards, policy discussions, and the direction of solar in Australia.

With a strong focus on accountability, industry involvement, and doing things properly, NRG Solar positions itself as a clear alternative to the “set and forget” approach that has caused issues for many solar customers in the past.
